Between 17 and 18 June the stakeholders of Euroregion Baltic met in Elbląg in order to continue the process of reviewing the cooperation, as recommended earlier this March in the road map adopted by the Council.
The meeting of the Euroregion Baltic Executive Board will be held on 9-10th February 2012 in Älmhult, Sweden. The meeting will mark the transfer of ERB Presidency from the Russian Party onto the Swedish Party. The Board will also make a summary of joint activities in 2011, adopt the action plan for 2012-2013 and discuss lobbying activities within the EU Cohesion Policy after 2013, the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, and youth issues. Separete meetings of ERB Youth Board and bussines support organisations will also be held on 9th February. Please read the agenda of the meeting for more details.
On 31st January 2012 in Valencia, Spain the INTERACT programme and Generalitat Valenciana are organising a conference on the new draft EU Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 regulations. The conference will focus on the draft proposals prepared by the European Commission and open a debate on how to deal with future organisation of the Funds and also on the growing importance of the European Territorial Cooperation. | Denmark Takes Over EU Presidency |
As of January 1st 2012 Denmark holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Danish Prime Minister, accompanied by the Minister for Economic Affairs and Interior, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for European Affairs, has presented the Programme of the Danish EU Presidency entitled "Europe At Work". There are four fundamental priorities in the Programme: a responsible Europe, a dynamic Europe, a green Europe, and a safe Europe.
